Railway line in Sammet Shikharji

Lord Parasnath
Jain community in India is demanding Railway line in Sammet Shikharji, greatest Jain pilgrimage center. There is no railway track in this pilgrimage center. There are stations in Parasnath and in Giridih, both located in Jharkhand state and pilgrims have to go via these stations. A railway station in Madhuban (Shikharji) will ease journey of pilgrims. It will also helpful for local residents. This is worth noted that Sammet Shikharji is the holy Jain pilgrimage center where 20 of 24 Jain Tirthankars attained Nirvana. The Teerth is situated on a hill called Parasnath hill.

Jyoti Kothari, convener, Sakal Jain Samaj, Jaipur has demanded railway between Parasnath and Giridih writing letter to Sri Sadanand Gowda, Union Railway minister. Sri Kamal Vinayka, Hazaribagh, is demanding the railway track since 20 years. However, union government not yet sanctioned the project. He met Jyoti Kothari in Jaipur few months back and he assured him taking the matter to new government. Jyoti Kothari also wrote a letter to Sri Narendra Modi assuming him as next Prime Minister of India. As soon as the government formed he took the matter to Sri Sadanand Gowda, Union Railway minister.

Sri Ravindra Kumar Pandey, MP, Giridih is also supporting the demand. Jyoti Kothari called him today and thanked him for his support. He also informed him that a delegation of Jain community will meet the Railway minister soon. Mr. Pandey told him to continue his support.

All Jains are requested to send letters to the Railway minister to accelerate this. Pl mail to this address Local people are also requested to raise demand through various means.
