Sakal Jain Samaj will celebrate Mahavira Jayanti

Sakal Jain Samaj, Jaipur will celebrate Mahavira Jayanti, auspicious birthday of 24th Jain Tirthankar on Sunday morning, April 13, 2014 at Subodh Public school campus, Rambagh circle, Jaipur.

Reverend Digambar Jain Acharya Sri Sudharmsagar ji Maharaj, Shwetambar Khartar Gachchh ascetic Sri Maniratna Sagar ji Maharaj, Tapagachchh Sadhvi Sri Kusumprabha Sri Ji Maharaj and Digambar Jain Aryika Sri Subhushanmati Mataji will grace the occasion with their presence. All of them will deliver their Pravachan for the benefit of the society. It will be a rare occasion where so many Shwetambar and Digambar Jain ascetics (both male and female) will deliver their discourses from a single stage.

Hon’ble Justice N. K. Jain and Hon’ble Justice J.K. Ranka, both from Rajasthan High Court will grace the occasion as special guests. Sakal Jain Samaj, Jaipur will also organize cultural program inclusive of devotional songs, dances and drama on this auspicious occasion. Sri Jain Yuva Parishad will organize a blood donation camp on that day to serve humankind. Mahavira Jayanti celebration will be followed by a lunch for all Jain community members.

All members of Jain community are cordially invited to join the occasion.

More saints have consented to join and bless us on the eve of Mahavira Jayanti organized by Sakal Jain Samaj, Jaipur. Shwetambar Terapanth Muni Sri Alok Kumar Ji, Khartar Gachchh Sadhvi Sri Surekha Sri Ji, D lit and Digambar Jain Aaryika Sri Gauravmati Mataji will bless us on that day along with above mentioned ascetics. We are fortunate that a total of seven groups of Jain ascetics from different Shwetambar and Digambar jain sects will be joining us.

We know that Jain society is divided into various communities like other religious communities. Shwetambar and Digambar are the main two sects which are further divided into various sub-sects. Sakal Jain Samaj, Jaipur have been established as an effort to unite all these sub-sects and sects. This organize various events to keep the wheel moving to unite Jain communities. Mahavira Jayanti celebration is one of these events.  Sri Manak Kala and Jyoti Kothari along with more than two hundred prominent community members have been devoting themselves for the purpose of Jain unity.
